Royal Capital Group has a new CEO.

With over 20 years of experience in the international hospitality industry in Vietnam, Mr. Saebel will directly guide the strategy, focusing on improving service standards, sustainable value, and developing local talent.

In his new role, Mr. Saebel will be responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of the Group’s three luxury resort properties: Wyndham Hoi An Royal Beachfront Resort – a luxurious beachfront resort with 497 exquisite hotel rooms and suites; Royal Beachfront Villas Danang – a collection of 69 magnificent 2-3 bedroom villas with private pools and spectacular garden and sea views; and Hotel Royal Hoi An Danang – a 187-room upscale boutique hotel located in the heart of Hoi An Ancient Town, built and operated to international 5-star standards under the strict supervision of Accor Group.

Mr. Sven A. Saebel, born in 1974 in Munich, Germany, brings with him over 25 years of international hotel management experience, including more than two decades deeply involved in Vietnam’s tourism and hospitality industry. He is not only a talented leader but also known as one of the most influential international CEOs with a profound understanding of local culture.

His career began at Kempinski Hotels & Resorts, followed by further professional development in Kuala Lumpur and Thailand. His first international highlight was The Empire Hotel & Country Club (Brunei) – one of the world’s most luxurious 7-star resorts. It was there that he developed and perfected his management skills and established the highest standards of resort service.

Since arriving in Vietnam in the early 2000s, Mr. Saebel has quickly become a key figure in shaping the development of many renowned hotel brands. He has held key leadership positions at leading resorts such as General Manager of Sunrise Premium Resort Hoi An, General Director of Imperial Hotel & Group in Vung Tau, and General Director of VIAS Hotels & Resorts. This invaluable experience has equipped him with a comprehensive strategic vision, combining rigorous international standards with keen insight into the domestic tourism market.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Saebel has played a vital role in raising the standards of hotel service quality in Vietnam. His leadership philosophy has always focused on three core values: impeccable service quality, sustainable business value, and especially the development of local talent.

With his profound understanding of Vietnamese culture, he not only led resorts to achieve outstanding business success but also created opportunities for the next generation of young Vietnamese hospitality professionals to shine and develop. For example, Vias Hotel Vung Tau, under his skillful leadership, has become a benchmark and symbol of seaside resorts in the southern region.

The clearest evidence of Mr. Saebel’s vision and profound impact is the “Leading Hotel General Manager in Vietnam 2024” award at the Best Hotels – Resorts Awards 2024. This is well-deserved recognition for his tireless efforts in promoting professionalism and quality in Vietnam’s hotel industry.
